They are pulling an 83-car train under the 4th Street Bridge, and are about to begin climbing the Allegheny Mountains via the Horseshoe Curve to Gallitzin and points West. Bringing-up the rear are "pushers" #8667, #8666, and #8669. Visible on the left are a telephone box and a venerable black water tower, the last sign of the "Age of Steam" in this part of town. |
