PRR 9847, EFP-15, 1965
8th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 14 February 1965. Shown here (R to L) are PRR engines #9682 and #9847. Both were built by EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9862 is an EH-15 built in 1949. #9847 is an EFP-15 built in 1952. They are passing under the 8th Street Bridge into the Westbound Receiving Yard with 100 empty coal cars and N-8 caboose #478213. Immediately to the right of these tracks is ROSE Tower.
