Album Info:Here are 30 duplicate 35mm color slides of Pennsylvania Railroad steam freight locomotives. The photographer's name, the locomotive number(s), the date, and the location are cited when they're specified on the slide mount. I purchased most of these slides from one merchant during the course of three eBay auctions during late November, 2018.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3556, an H-9S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built in Juniata as H-8SB number "6607" during November of 1911, renumbered "3556" in 1913, rebuilt as an H-9S in June of 1918, and retired in October of 1958 after 47 years. It's passing WORTHINGTON Tower with a two-hopper train; the number of the N-5 cabin car is not recorded.

Description:  SFM. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Summerdale, Pennsylvania, during 1956. The photographer is not identified. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #305 and #1343. Both are L-1S (2-8-2) "Mikados." #305 was built in Juniata during April of 1917 and retired in January of 1960, while #1343 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during February of 1916 and retired in April of 1958. They are nose-to-nose, and appear to be pulling a mixed-cargo freight train into the Enola Yards. Beyond them are an outbound freight train (moving from right to left), the Susquehanna River (flowing from left to right), and David's Mountain standing in the distance. Note the Dude in the Doghouse!
