Some of them were purchased via numerous eBay auctions conducted by Mr. Brad Mann, but most were gifts from this very generous person. The photographer's name, the locomotive road number(s), the date, and the location are cited when specified.

Description:  Mann. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide that was taken at BANKS Tower near Perdix, Pennsylvania, c. 1965. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9871 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9871 is an EFP-15 constructed in August 1952; looks to me like it's seen better days. In this context, this A-B-A set is pulling a mixed-cargo freight train on its way to Altoona and points West. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded. Both are EFP-15's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #4367 was constructed as number "9867" in August of 1952 and renumbered "4367" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger, while #4353 was built as number "9853" in June of the same year and renumbered "4353" in preparation for the merger.
