Mann. Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Cove, Pennsylvania, c. 1967. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #9770, #2230, and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #9770 is an EF-15A constructed in January of 1951 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. #2230 is an EF-22 built in April of 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower. In this context, they're rockin' 'n' rollin' toward the Enola Yards with a mixed-cargo freight train. (Gift from Brad Mann.) |
