CRI&P E8A, WITH TWO B UNITS TRAILING, HEADS A COMMUTER TRAIN, MARTY. THE CRI&P'S MAROON AND WHITE COLORS WERE LOVELY. WERE THE E UNITS USED ONLY IN COMMUTER SERVICE??

This should be train 18 Twin Star Rocket arriving from Houston. "Twin Star" Northstar state MN, Lonestar state TX. This unit 652 was nicknamed "The turkey eng" in the mid sixties after cutting a reefer truck of frozen turkeys in two South of Fairibaut MN. to quote the engr Leo, "we counted 16 frozen turkeys in the cab and they came thru the windshield like cannonballs". He was cut by flying glass somewhat.
