| Already third-hand by the time it was seen in Denver, GP40 3131 passes through in a freight. 3131 was built by EMD in August 1968 as Penn Central 3113. It passed to Conrail in 1976 before being sold to Rio Grande in 1983. 3131 was sold to the Wheeling & Lake Erie in 2001. It still operates in Rio Grande paint, but with the W&LE number 302. |
