Built by the Lima Locomotive Works in October of 1918, this 2-8-2 Mikado started out as Illinois Central #1880 (serial #5743). The IC shops rebuilt and renumbered the loco in September of 1942 to IC #1368. It continued in service until being sold for scrap in May of 1955. Rebuilt specs - 63.5" drivers, 225 psi boiler pressure, 27x30" cylinders, engine weight of 308,500, tractive effort of 65,868 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
