The junction at Hermansville.         
Looking back generally east toward Powers on the former C&NW line. The track diverging foreground right connects to the former Soo Line grade that ran across northern Wisconsin from St. Paul/Minneapolis to Sault Saint Marie. From this end, the CN runs it as a branch as far as Goodman. The C&NW track is used to Quinnesec, MI. This was once the location of an at grade crossing of the Soo and C&NW. Now the so track that continued on to SSM is a recreational trail. Satellite images show Hermansville once had a fair amount of rail served industries, but that the connections have been severed, or the spurs removed. i
