| Powers is located along the former Chicago and Northwestern line between Menominee,MI and Escanaba, MI. It is the location of a junction that the C&NW used to branch off a line that at one time went on to Ashland WI. This branch now ends at Iron Mountain, but does not appear to get much use past Quinnesec. At Quinnesec, the CN services a large Verso facility.An interesting detail on this building is the silhouette of the old C&NW ball and bar sign on the upper right hand corner of the gable end. |
