Here is a postal card which could be titled "Pennsylvania 9631." No Postmark. No Caption. This exact photo appears in "The 50 Best of PRR by Bob Lorenz," page 34. Partial Caption: "PRR didn't like USRA Light Mikados, and that was that. Assigned a batch during World War I, she disposed of all save five and kept those five near Cincinnati. This is L-2s 9631 at Cincinnati in 1938. Built by Alco-Schenectady in [March of] 1919, the 9631 lasted until [August of] 1948. She actually started as GR&I 112, and picked up the number 9631 in 1921." |
