Here is the first of eight original photos that were taken by an unidentified photographer at the Pennsylvania Railroad's Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, perhaps during 1957. Visible on the left is a passenger train that has just rounded the Curve, and is now on its way down the Allegheny Mountains to Altoona and points East. On the right are two of the City of Altoona's reservoirs. |
