Partial Caption: "The first two of this trio of EFS-17M's, hauling mixed freight into Enola, are among 83 diesel-electric units put into service by the PRR during 1956." Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #7085, #7050, and another GP-9 whose number is not recorded. All are EFS-17M's built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,750 horsepower each. #7085 and #7050 were both built in 1956: the former in November, the latter in October. |
