C&NW Spooner, WI Depot         
The southwest and southeast walls of the former C&NW depot at Spooner, WI on 23 Jun. '16. Unfortunately the Watch for Train sign is no longer applicable. Constructed in the Craftsman style for the CStPM&O (CMO) in ‘02 by Ashland, WI contractor T. E. Pugh. It measured 288’ long by 32’ wide (52’ wide with the overhangs) and cost $25,000. The northern half had a second story for railroad offices. Passenger service ended in ’61. The northern half of the depot was demolished in ’63. The remaining portion has been home to the Railroad Memories Museum since ’90. The last freight train passed by in ’92.
