| Following C&O's takeover of the B&O in 1963, a number of C&O Geeps and Fs were transferred to the B&O, displacing earlier minority builders' units. Here, two former C&O units handle a westbound B&O freight at State Line Junction. B&O 5983 was originally C&O 5983, and would later be traded in to EMD on an order for C&O SD50s.
