Description:  Empty coal train led by five GM&O units on the EJ&E. I believe these trains went to a power plant in northern Indiana, but not sure. Does anyone know how they were routed? BRC 471
Title:  BRC 471
Description:  BRC 471 is in the small CSS&SB interchange yard just north of State Line tower. This is actually BRC 471:2, rebuilt in 1958 from BRC 471:1, which I assume was wrecked - the rebuild got a new serial number. Interestingly, the BRC specified solid bearing trucks on these units; probably the only non-roller bearing Blomberg trucks you've ever seen. Date of photo approximate.

All were delivered with yellow noses and the roadname spelled out in Futura lettering. Only three received this later simplified "merger" paint scheme.
