Although a G7 would wear #216 later for the C&EI, this was the first. Built by Baldwin in 1905 and identified as a E2a class, it was originally #321 but renumbered to #216 in 1911. The Atlantic type loco had tall 78" drivers, developed 200 psi boiler pressure to deliver to its 21"x26" cylinders.
