AMTK Train 8, ‘Empire Builder,’ slows to halt at the CP, former MILW, depot at Columbus, WI, as it heads southeast on 27 Feb. '25. Train had two locomotives, AMTK 345 and AMTK 305. Consist included AMTK 61047, AMTK 39031, AMTK 32086, AMTK 32069, AMTK 38067, AMTK 34114, AMTK 38043, AMTK 34031, AMTK 31045, AMTK 32050. This Craftsman-style depot was constructed of concrete in 1906. It originally had a tile roof. The previous depot, built in 1871, still stands, hidden by the train. Vita Plus dominates the background.
