| View from the cab of Amtrak P32-8 507 on the westbound Gulf Coast Limited as it approaches the Industrial Canal Drawbridge at the south end of CSX Gentilly Yard. The train is on track S23, while on the right are the DRILL POCKET, the PASSING TRACK and the MAIN LINE. The track curving away on the extreme right is the New Orleans Public Belt line which serves the east side of the canal. The concrete beams over the tracks and the adjacent street are supports for the sliding floodgates. |
