| Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad GP30 959 westbound at Naperville, Illinois on September 19, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in June 1962 (c/n 27170) on EMD Order 7621, it became BN 2236 sometime after the March 2, 1970 merger, was rebuilt in May 1989 to BN GP39E 2754, and in August 1998 was renumbered to BNSF 2744. Cut in behind the motors are four new AT&SF GP35's, likely being delivered to the Santa Fe in a state where the sales tax was lower. |
