Title:  Yard And Hiawatha Power
Description:  I had caught the 54 working the Hiawatha Switching District earlier in the day. The crew then returned to the roundhouse and parked their ex-Frisco steed by the power MNNR likes to give to yard duties.

Lots O' Power!
Title:  Lots O' Power!
Description:  BNSF loves to shuffle units from Willmar to the Twin Cities (and vice versa) by thoughtfully including them on the head end of trains. Most of the units you see here are hitching a ride (i.e., they are not powered up) but they still make an impressive sight as this eastbound freight approaches the County 15/Highway 12 bridge.

Waiting For Trains That Will One Day Come
Title:  Waiting For Trains That Will One Day Come
Description:  The old MN&S main line is the only rail route in the Twin Cities that goes directly north to south through it. This has ensured the line has remained intact despite how it is inactive from south of Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington to Dodd Blvd in Lakeville. The 143rd Street W grade crossing thus waits for trains that will one day come.
