Album Info:Here are 60 duplicate 35mm color slides of Pennsylvania Railroad diesel-electric locomotives. All of these photos are from the collection of Mr. Fred Byerly, and come from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819). All of the slide mounts provide a locomotive road number and a location, but almost none of them are dated. I purchased all of these slides in a single eBay auction on Thursday, 20 September 2018.

This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-56).

Description:  Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in East St. Louis, Illinois, c. 1967. Photo Caption: "EMD SD-45 #6144, 3600-hp, at East St. Louis, Ill." Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6144 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are EF-36's built by GM-EMD and rated at 3,600 horsepower each. #6144 was constructed in January of 1967 and, as such, was one of the last locomotives produced for and delivered to the Pennsy before the PRR-NYC merger on 01 February 1968. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-60).
