Here are 60 duplicate 35mm color slides of Pennsylvania Railroad diesel-electric locomotives. All of these photos are from the collection of Mr. Fred Byerly, and come from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819). All of the slide mounts provide a locomotive road number and a location, but almost none of them are dated. I purchased all of these slides in a single eBay auction on Thursday, 20 September 2018.

Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Cincinnati, Ohio, c. 1967. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "EMD SD-9 #6924, 1750-hp, at Cincinnati, O." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6924, an ES-17M road switcher built by GM-EMD as number "7624" in January of 1958, rated at 1,750 horsepower, and renumbered "6924" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-56).

Shown here (L to R) are Penn Central Railroad engine #6004 and two more units whose road numbers are not recorded. All were built by GM-EMD. #6004 is an SD35 constructed as PRR number "6004" in February of 1965 and rated at 2,500 horsepower. Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in East St. Louis, Illinois, c. 1967. Photo Caption: "EMD SD-45 #6144, 3600-hp, at East St. Louis, Ill." Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6144 and another unit whose road number is not recorded. Both are EF-36's built by GM-EMD and rated at 3,600 horsepower each. #6144 was constructed in January of 1967 and, as such, was one of the last locomotives produced for and delivered to the Pennsy before the PRR-NYC merger on 01 February 1968. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Diesels On The Pennsylvania" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (819-60).

Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #8959 and another RT-624 whose number is not recorded. #8959 is a BS-24M transfer switcher built by Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton in October of 1951, rated at 2,400 horsepower, and retired in July of 1966 after just 15 years of revenue service.
