Description:
Here is page five of a 40-page booklet published by Harry P. Albrecht entitled "A Picture Study Of The K-4." First issued in October 1967, revised in September 1976. Both locomotives pictured here are Pennsylvania Railroad K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built in Juniata. Top Photo Caption: "The northbound Congressional Limited about 45 MPH with engine 1433 passing Loudon Park in Baltimore, Md., on May 30, 1919." #1433 was built during May of 1918 and retired in April of 1948. Bottom Photo Caption: "Not far from the same location, Train 146 passes Halethrop, Md. Engine 3801, April 19, 1931." #3801 was built during February of 1923 and retired in April of 1948.
