CN NF-210 #939 - Canadian National |
Description: |
From the rear, this loco looks almost like a GP7 but the pointed cab (hidden in the picture), the wide frame base and the narrow 3'6' gauge trucks makes it an odd duck. Built by GMD (EMD Canada) in January of 1960, it was one of the last narrow gauge NF-210's built to run on the Newfoundland Rwy controlled by Canadian National. After retirement in June of 1989, it was exported to Nicaragua and then sold to FCAB in Chile in 1994. Specs - class GR-12x, 3'6" gauge, EMD 12-567C prime mover, max speed 60 mph, 1200 hp.
