It was an unusually busy morning in eastern District 2 as EDPO from the day before had been held at Ocean Park to meet POAY, then POAY was held at Surf to meet AYPO. When POAY reached Wells they would meet a 39 car eastbound DO-1 and a slightly late Amtrak 683.
