Both are K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics" built in Juniata. #5367 was constructed during May of 1924 and retired in October of 1956, while #3751 was built in April of 1920 and retired in November of 1957. Here is a postal card from the Henry C. Westenberger Collection. No Postmark. Mr. Charles L. Ballard, photographer. Photo Caption: "Pennsylvania 5406. New York & Long Branch train with K-4 5406 out of South Amboy, N.J., under a shower of cinders, passing 5367 on the layover track, for a trip to the Jersey Shore." Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5406 and #5367 are both K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacifics." #5406 was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during February of 1927 and retired in February of 1958, while #5367 was built in Juniata during May of 1924 and retired in October of 1956. |
