A few like 1462 were simplfied with 22x26" cylinders. No date, location or photographer given for this photo. |

Built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin) 1905, this Santa Fe class 1400 had tall 79" drivers and could produce an impressive 220 psi boiler pressure for its compound cylinders (15"x26" and 25"x26"). The engine weight was 208.770 lb and it could produce a tractive effort of 20,364 lb, Late, the Santa Fe shops simplified the loco with just 22"26" cylinders. No photographer identified. |
