Middle Photo: Shown here is PRR engine #6855, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during 1926 and retired in September of 1949. Bottom Photo: Shown here is PRR engine #7345, an N-1S (2-10-2) "Santa Fe" built by the American Locomotive Company during March of 1919 and retired in April of 1949. |

Here is a photo by Fred R. Kern that was taken in Altoona, Pennsylvania, on 3 July 1949. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6855, an M-1 (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during September of 1926 and retired in September of 1949 after 23 years of faithful service.
