BNSF 7454 tailend of the double pushers on this soon-to-be eastbound mixed freight in the middle of the crossing splashing through the rain. I take the lack of exhaust shimmer confirmation neither of the DPU sisters were active. And before folks make fun of the grain and slight blur, please note the glow of the lights - pocket snappers arent really meant to shoot in the dark on the way to church (albeit the LONG way to church, having accidentally taken the wrong turn to go through the station area - not exactly on-the-way on the way to church, if you get the general meaning). |

A CN through freight, led by an interesting foreign visitor, parallels Hwy. 41 and passes the Hwy. G overpass as it heads southwest via former C&NW rails at Snells, WI on 4 May '18. Snells, formerly known as Snell’s Station or Snell’s Crossing, is now little more than a map dot in the Town of Neenah, Winnebago Co. This small, rural community once included a post office, depot, cheese factory, sawmill, school, and stockyard. It does not look like any teal remnants of the original community remain. Even the station sign, erected after the depot was removed, is gone. The former SOO rails can be seen on this side of the train. |
