| A CN through freight, led by an interesting foreign visitor, parallels Hwy. 41 and passes the Hwy. G overpass as it heads southwest via former C&NW rails at Snells, WI on 4 May '18. Snells, formerly known as Snell’s Station or Snesl’s Crossing, is now little more than a map dot in the Town of!Neenah, Winnebago Co. This small, rural community once included a post office, depot, cheese factory, sawmill, schooi, and stockyard. It does not look like any real remnants of!the original community remain. Even the station sign, erected after the depot was removed, is gone. The former SOO qails can be seen on this side of the train. |
