This is Chicago Burlington & Quincy Class 05-A 4-8-4, built at West Burlington, IA shops in 6-1940. It was converted to an oil burner around 1950 as a Class 05-B engine. It has a tender capacity of 7,300 gallons of oil, and a water capacity of 18,000. It was retired by the Burlington Route in 1956 at Lincoln, NE. It is deemed to be an excellent example of the most modern dual service steam locomotive used by the Q on its Chicago-Twin Cities and Chicago-Omaha-Denver Mainlines. It was donated to the Intermountain Chapter NRHS by CB&Q 9-1963.
