Larry Hawkes General Wow! Man, I guess she was wrecked! MEC GP40 #382 has replaced her. Thanks for the info photo. Much appreciated. 11/11/2007 10:21:47 PM
Robby Gragg General Yeah it was wrecked pretty badly. Thankfully this wasn't the lead engine of the train (the leader was a BNSF Dash 9). The Guilford engine, one of the trailing engines of the NS train was smacked by a UP train at the diamonds in Momence, wrecking this engine, several UP engines, CN 6026 and a NS Dash 9s. 11/12/2007 3:33:39 PM
Doug Wolfe General Good photo. Pretty ugly looking wreck. 5/25/2008 6:41:19 PM
Robby Gragg General It was a very bad wreck, but fortunatly nobody was seriously injured and no one was in the Guilford engine. 6/4/2008 3:50:07 PM
Mason Soliday General Looks like an NS GP40 is written off. It's sister, 1353, was wrecked in 1996. 2/25/2023 8:32:06 PM
