| This flat car, now empty, waits in WSOR's E. Johnson street yard in Madison. The CP job from Portage will probably pick this and similar cars tonight. The cars are being used to ship several hundred loads of metal pipe down to a construction site just off of WSOR's rails in Milton, WI. Note the wooden cross beams, grooved to the shape of the pipes. Cut up tires are cttached to the top of the wooden beams, and long retractable flaps strap the pipes down. |
