Sure, paint looks like hell, buy ya gotta make sure those stripes are compliant with the FRA regs!!! Great find. Is that about the only one left with the Union Pacific on the nose??

I wonder the same thing... I have never seen the loco number and "UNION PACIFIC" across the nose like that before.

I have heard that it is the only UP engine with Union Pacific on the nose, but I do not have any information if this is correct. Back in the 70's it was common to see UP units with lettering on the front.

This is the 70's paint scheme, and it's the last one wearing the full old scheme. A few others have parts showing through, but this is the last full one on the active roster.
