Shown here is Penn Central Railroad engine #5465, an RS3 built by the American Locomotive Company as Pennsylvania Railroad number "8465" in June of 1952, rated at 1,600 horsepower, renumbered "5465" in preparation for the PRR-NYC merger, later acquired by Amtrak and renumbered "AMTK 121." |
