| Just as it looked like we werent going to get any trains to close the day out, UP MCBCH keyed up G3 and the dispatcher and told them they were ready to go east. Right at sunset, the train slowly rolled out of G3 with a solo NS AC44C6M on the front. NS is paying back quite a few power hours to the UP after they themselves leased a ton of UP locomotives back at the end of 2022 and into 2023. With that, our day came to an end. Another great day of railfanning! The following day will begin in Rochelle, and end in Dubuque. |
