Here is a photo by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Camden, New Jersey, on 20 May 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5351, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1924 and retired in April of 1958 after 34 years of faithful service. It's the last PRR steam locomotive to pull a regularly-scheduled passenger run: Pemberton to Camden on Tuesday, 12 November 1957. Gary Mittner Collection. |
