IORY 4898
The IORY LSL was departing Ford Yard as the LIFW was departing Cole Street, and with nothing better to do I decided to race south to shoot the LSL. BNSF recently returned a few hundred of their Dash 9s back to GE, and with the recent EPA deal going into effect, G&W has been buying up a number of these units to replace the units that were forced to be scrapped. As unfortunate as it is, the days of standard cab leaders on the LSL have come to an end and the road trains will pretty much be dominated by these ex- BNSF widecabs. As much as I hate to say it though, Im glad these H2s are getting new life, even if they will be in a new coat of different orange paint soon enough. I set up shop south of Saint Johns for my first shot where they come around a slight curve.
