Built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in June of 1940, it was eventually donated to the Canadian Rwy Museum in Delson,Quebec, Note the royal crown on the side number borad denoting the "Royal Hudson" title earned by the class in 1939. Even the Louis Marx toy company somewhat modeled their streamlined toy steam engine after this model although somewhat inaccurate as a 0-4-0. Canada in August of 1964. Specs - H1e class, 75" drivers, 275 psi boiler pressure, 22x30" cylinders, engine wt of 366,000 lb and tractive effort of 45,254 lb. This is a Wm E. Paul photo. |
