We were beginning to get a bit skeptical on whether or not the Avon Turn was already out and about somewhere if not already in Avon. The only chatter coming from INRD was the yard job. However, there was a small cut of cars that had been left on the main just south of the yard. Obviously the SAHW wasnt going to be able to go anywhere as long as those cars were there. Sure enough, we then heard the yard job talking to another crew. Moments later an INRD van pulled up to Raymond Street and a train with a long cut of stacks pushed out of the yard. A pair of SD40-2s were on the head end, a clear sign that the Avon Turn was just getting ready to go. The train shoved back just far enough for us to get this nice reflection shot off of this small puddle at the crossing. |
