The telltale signs of missing bell and front numberplate suggests it is sitting in the dead/scrap line at this point in its life. Built by the Milwaukee Road Shops in 1913 as CMStP #7243, it later was renumbered in 1927 to CMStP&P 7243 and again in 1938 to MILW 1243. Specs - 63" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 24x30" cylinders, engine wt of 224,000lb, tractive effort of 43,130 lb. Unfortunately, no photograher was listed for the photo. |
