| This is an example of the ALCo-Brooks 2-8-0 Consolidation built in December of 1912 as CMStP #7218. It was renumbered first to CMStP&P 7218 in 1927 and then later to MILW 1218 in September of 1938. After serving nearly 41 years, the loco seen here awaits the scrapper's torch in March of 1953. Specs - 63" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 24x30" cylinders, engine wt of 224,000lb, tractive effort of 43,130 lb. Unfortunately, no photograher was listed for the photo. |
