This Baldwin 4-6-0 was originally built in August of 1900 as CMStP Vauclain compound 4-6-0 ten wheeler #307. However, the number changed many times after that - renumbered in 9/1906 to CMStP #1607, renumbered in 11/1912 to CMStP #4207, simplified and renumbered in 9/1926 to CMStP #2766, renumbered in 7/1938 to CMStP&P #1105. After nearly 51 years of service, the loco was scrapped in May of 1951. Simplfied specs - 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22x26" cylinders, engine wt of 187,600 lb, tractive effort of 31,004 lb and superheated. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
