Chicago & Alton  Contributor's Pick!
On our trip to Cleveland, we stopped to do something wed planned for a long time. No, not sit at Springfield and shoot Amtrak and UP trains, but tour the Frank Lloyd Wright Dana Thomas House, which is a block from the tracks, several blocks south of the station. The house is well worth the visit, and has the largest amount of original Wright art glass in existence-and the tour is free!! We had some time after before heading east, so went up to see what was going on. It turned out we were able to shoot St Louis bound train 305, but prior to that, we got some shots of the station itself, along with some panels about Abraham Lincolns funeral train. This is the main part of the building, with a second floor tower overlooking the tracks.
