Marianchuk. Here is a postal card that could be entitled "East Strasburg Passenger Station." Caption On Reverse: "East Strasburg at train time is a scene not duplicated anywhere in America today. Here, the sixty-year-old train with its open-platform wooden coaches pulls into the wonderful world of yesterday dominated by the eighty-five-year-old depot building. Photo by Gordon E. Roth." Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1223, a D-16SB (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata as a D-16B during 1905, rebuilt as a D-16SB, sold to the Strasburg Rail Road in October of 1960, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg.
