Built by Alco-Schenectady in September of 1917 as CNW #1618, it was rebuilt in June of 1939 with the boiler pressure increased to 200 psi resulting in an increased tractive effort. In October of 1939, a stoker was applied. Finally, the loco was renumbered CNW 618 in 1952. No final disposition date was found but it was scrapped by the end of 1950's. Rebuilt specs - serial #57917, class, E, 75" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 25x28" cylinders, engine wt of 263,500 lb, tractive effort of 39,600 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
