Built by ALCo-Schenectady in November of 1914 for the Chicago Milwaukee & St. Paul Railroad as #8177 (serial #54967), it was later renumbered CMStP&P 737 in 1938. The loco served the Milwaukee Road for nearly 35 years before being retired in September of 1949. Specs - L2 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26 x 30" cylinders, engine weight of 275,000 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. An unknown photographer took this photo. |
