Here is a photo via Paul W. Prescott that was taken in Camden, New Jersey, on 1 September 1940. Shown here is Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines engine #6061, an E-3SD (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in Juniata as an E-2A during 1905, rebuilt as an E-3SD in May of 1919, later transferred to the PRSL, and retired in November of 1948 after 43 years of faithful service. Note that its right main driving rod has been removed. Gary Mittner Collection. |
