Here is page six of a nine-page cover article by Bert Pennypacker entitled "The Mass-Production Ten-Wheeler." It was published originally in the October 1973 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 25. Photo Caption: "Author [Bert] Pennypacker often chased the 'Skooky,' Schuylkill Branch Sunday-only locals 685 and 686. With the northbound, G-5s 5704 drifts into Haws Avenue, Norristown, last stop under wires." Photo by Mr. Pennypacker. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5704, a G-5S (4-6-0) "Ten-Wheeler" built in Juniata during August of 1924, renumbered "1814" in 1951, and retired in February of 1954 after 30 years of faithful service.
