This rugged looking 2-8-2 Mikado was built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in July of 1924 and delivered as Canadian National #3578 (serial #65641, class S-2-c). The loco proved its worth from 1924 until being scrapped in April of 1959 after 35 years of hard and fast work.
